Anne Frank

FIRST STANZA

I am scared and cold

I wonder when I will get out of the camps

I hear cries of children

I see women and children getting sick

I want to go home and see Pim

I am scared and cold

SECOND STANZA

I pretend to be happy

I feel weak, and slow

I touch the cold hard ground

I worry about my family

I cry about Pim

I am scared and cold

THIRD STANZA

I understand life a lot more now

I say to myself i’m going home

I dream about my old home town

I try the best I can to not cry

I hope to go home soon

I am scared and cold

When fear takes over your mind, your mind takes over your fear.

Dialogue

Anne.  [Screaming] No! No! Don’t . . . don’t take me!

Dussel.  Shush! Anne! Anne, for God’s sake, shush!

Anne.  Save me! Save me!

Dussel.  Quiet! Quiet! You want someone to hear?

Mrs. Frank. Anne, darling.

Dussel.  Every night she twists and turns. I don’t sleep. I spend half my night shushing her. And now it’s nightmares!

Mrs. Frank.   You’re here, safe, you see? Nothing has happened. Please, Mr. Dussel, go back to bed. She’ll be herself in a minute or two. Won’t you, Anne?

Dussel. Thank you, but I’m going to the w.c. The one place where there’s peace!

Mr. Van Daan. What is it? What happened?

Dussel.  A nightmare. She was having a nightmare!

Mr. Van Daan.  I thought someone was murdering her.

Dussel.  Unfortunately, no.

Mr. Frank.  Thank you, Peter. Go back to bed.

Mrs. Frank. Would you like some water?  Was it a very bad dream? Perhaps if you told me . . . ?

Anne.  I’d rather not talk about it.

Mrs. Frank.  Poor darling. Try to sleep then. I’ll sit right here beside you until you fall asleep.

Anne.  You don’t have to.

Mrs. Frank.  But I’d like to stay with you . . . very much. Really.

Anne.  I’d rather you didn’t.

Mrs. Frank.  Good night, then. You’ll be all right? There’s nothing that you want?

Anne.  Will you please ask Father to come.

Mrs. Frank.  Of course, Anne dear.

In the book " The story of Anne Frank", it tells a lot about her starting life. It talks all about how she was born where and as she grew up. Then the books leads to how the family got taken into hiding. It explains about all of the danger, and all of the system getting into the Annex. It also tells all the little things about Anne, and more things that were in her diary. It all explained about the Annex, how it looked, and all of the things she did and how long they were there. Then it leads into how they got caught and how they got taken to the camps. It has background info of her and her relationships with people, and how her dad felt in the end and how everything happened. I also knew a lot before about Anne because i read it, and did projects on her.
